My Hip replacement journey

I’m writing this on January 22nd after having had my hip replacements. When I was in hospital I had forgotten my passwords et cetera for my WordPress site so this is written as it happened but only published after the event. It may be of interest to anybody embarking on one hip replacement and certainly anyone having two done at the same time.

I’ve always been fit and active, so it came as a shock when I started to get hip pain about six months ago.

First some night discomfort and latterly sharp stabbing pain in the groin and knee.

Without being boring I have bilateral hip impingement . Just like Andy Murray. I’m in good company but he is much younger than me.The only way forward is to have both hips replaced. Because I am female I cant have a resurfacing, our bone isn’t good enough.
