About Cathie

  • Cathie Stone - Physiotherapist in Sway, New ForestCathie trained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.  She then worked in the NHS covering every aspect of physiotherapy especially orthopaedics and musculoskeletal problems.
  • Cathie worked for the England and British Lions rugby physiotherapist Kevin Murphy.
  • Cathie set up her own practice in Cheshire, initially working from home for 12 years then setting up to a seven treatment room multidisciplinary clinic she called The Brookdale Clinic, in Knutsford, Cheshire.
  • Cathie owned and ran the clinic for 11 years before she was approached by Total Physiotherapy who bought the business.
  • Cathie continued to run the multi-disciplinary service for two years before leaving in September 2017 to start a new life in The New Forest.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Cathie is always updating her knowledge and techniques. She recently qualified as a Be Activated practitioner, going to South Africa to attend the course, headed by Carel Wildenboer of BE123.

This South African technique, devised by physiotherapist Douglas Heel is for everyone and has changed the approach to treatment for pain and dysfunction.

Used by high level athletes yet suitable for “normal” human beings!

  • Cathie offers treatments from her rooms in Sway in the New Forest or is available for home visits.
  • Cathie is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered by the Health Care Professions Council. No PH24446
